I am working on an excel guest list for an upcoming fundraising event. I am trying to concatenate the first and last name of each guest into one cell and add Mr. or Ms. to it before the names are combined. Any suggestions on how to do this?

How can you tell if the guest is male or female?

Unfortunately I have to go by the name. I do not have a column reserved to specify gender.
Sadly, I don't think Excel is going to be able to assess a cell value and determine if it is a male name or a female name. It's not always obvious to the human eye.
Unless you have some viable means of selecting your variable, you have very little chance of doing what you want.

Is there any way for me to manually type in the word Ms. or Mr. into a cell and follow it with concatenating the guests first and last names?
Hi,
In that case a simple
=C1&" "&A1&" "&B1
should do where Ms. / Mr. is in C1 and first/last names in A1&B1
