Alphabetizing rows

Is there any way I can alphabetize a row, but also include the data that goes with it?

For example:
List Price. Sally Total Billy Total Suzie Total
Nuts. $0.4. 4. $.16
Bolts. $0.56 2 $1.12
Screws. $45.0 3. $135

Ok, so it's an inventory list. Under each of the "total" is a formula for the total price of what the workers used of each item. So, what I need to do is alphabetize the names, but I need the corresponding "totals" data to stay with that name when alphabetizing. Is there anyway to do this?? I feel like I've tried everything. Hope this made a little sense.

You just have to select all the data, if that isn't done automatically, before you Sort it. Usually, when you choose Sort, it will select all the columns/data ... but this might not happen if there are blank columns or rows.

However it doesn't seem to let me sort from A to Z if its rows I'm wanting to sort. It sorts it down the column, which isn't what I'm looking for. Any advice?

Not sure why this is a problem for you.

You start with this:

and, after sorting A to Z, end up with this:

Just click anywhere in the data area and select Sort from the Ribbon and choose A to Z. Done.

What am I missing? Have I misunderstood your requirement?

Yes, I think you misunderstood me. I'm trying to alphabetize the names in row 1, excluding "list" and "price". I don't need the "list" items alphabetized, just row one. It there any way to do this? For example, across the top it should be "Dana"(totals) "Lindsay" (totals) "Rylan" (totals).
