apply existing List, if formula is true, otherwise write text data in cell

How do I apply an existing List (Data Validation, Allow: List), if formula is true, otherwise write "text" data in cell and not provide drop down list?

If A is true then provide user List data to select defined values, else provide no list, and write 'text data' in cell field without providing a list. The List data is alread created from the Data Validation.

Thank you,
Lynn

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools

Okay, I have posted share file.

1) Look at "STA Low Power ASSY" worksheet.
2) If cell c7 in list = 380-188122, and cell F7 = "CCA, STA Smart Stem Satellite" shown in F7 list, then cell G7 = part # 380-188021.
3) What I need is...
3a) If cell C7 <> (does not equal) 380-188122, selected from C7 list, then in cell F7, don't provide dropdown list, and write "Defined Text" from 'Low Pwr Template Data' worksheet.

This is what I am trying to accomplish.
Thank you very much for your help.
