    # of participants in a program during the reporting period

    I really appreciate everyone's help!

    My problem today is: And I attached my worksheet!

    I am still not getting how you string these together
    and when to use "sumproduct" or "countif"

    Reporting period is 03/01/13 (B10) to 03/31/13 (C10)
    Total # in Program

    Q2:Q12<=C10 R2:R12>=B10
    If this column says Pre-Trial
    it needs to count

    Do you mean?

    =SUMPRODUCT((Q2:Q12<=C10)*(R2:R12="Pre-Trial"))
    Regards

    Re: # of participants in a program during the reporting period

    Hi, I really appreciate your help, but it is not coming up with the correct answer, it is only coming up with 1
    I probably did the <= things wrong. It needs to be already installed or installed during the reporting month and not removed before the first day of the reporting period, and if they are pre-trial I do not have a removal date yet so that should be counted. In my original post, I attached my worksheet.

    Thank you!
