Shift horizontal range of text based on a parameter, copy formula down across

    Hello

I have a set of characteristics in a defined horizontal range that needs to be shifted by a number of columns which is parameter driven. The formula needs to be copied across the table and down so it can pick-up any of the characteristics.

Example: the raising of a Purchase Orders triggers certain events for the completion of a build before customers can be acquired. If I delay the raising of the Purchase Order that would shift trigger events to the right of the spreadsheet.

I was trying yo use offset with this but seem unable to avoid gett

    Example attached

    Thanks in advance

    It works.

    Thanks

Thanks for this. I have never heard of the function MOVEMENT. If one does a search on the internet (Movement function Excel), no references are returned unlikes others (match, Index, Indirect etc).

    Nice to hear it works.
MOVEMENT is not a function. It is a defined name, you can press Ctrl-F3 to see:
    =OFFSET('Shift Date Example'!$C$4,MATCH('Shift Date Example'!$C15,'Shift Date Example'!$C$5:$C$9,0),MATCH('Shift Date Example'!D$14,'Shift Date Example'!$D$4:$P$4,0)-'Shift Date Example'!$D$23,)
