    how to get the merged cells intoa formula

    i have a merged cell. G5 to K5 is merged. I would like to get this cell into a formula. is it ok if i use the first letter of the merged cell adress viz G5? I have to use this in a countif formula the result i want in F45
    .how can i do this?

    Use the top left cell of the merged cells.

    If the range of merged cells is G5:K5, then use G5 in your formula.
