Question 3 colour scale conditional formatting with actual vs. predicted figures.

Hi,

I have looked through this site to see if I could find something relevant but couldn't (well to my limited knowledge I couldn't).

I have a sheet for my projects that has to capture predicted hours to be worked and then the actual figures worked.

What I need is line 4 to highlight for the following reasons

Red = If below figures in D3 by 3 hours
Orange = If below figures in D3 by 0-3 hours
Dark Green = If equals to figures in D3
Bright Green = If figures are greater than in D3

Thanks in advance.

Hi Linsie
Is this what your looking for? Im assuming that your not wanting to base the formatting for all other columns on D, so D3 and D4 will compare, E3 and E4 and so on.

Hi Linsie and welcome to the forum

Hopefully Herc was able to give you what you wanted?

If not, I would suggest that (and keep this in mind in future) you upload yur sample workbook, not a picture. Pictures are impossible to work with, and most members are dis-inclined to re-type your data for you
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Thank you Hercules. It has worked on some cells, but on others it is not working, its keeping the cells white.

All the "Actual"lines should be coloured unless the "actual" cell is blank.

Copy of my sheet with your solution attached.

@FDibbins - thanks for the hint, will remember that for next time.
