Populated a column by logical formula using IF

    Hi everyone,

I have a worksheet that import from text file, the text file contain 3 column which is populated with text.
The column in the attached excel are column F, G, H. Column F first row contain text value "A", column G and H contain text value continuing through row to row.

Column F the first row contain value in this case "A" only the first row of the import carry value, There are sometimes the import from the text file would show a deference value "F" and blank row below.

I'm trying to populated column E with column F,G,H e.g (ABGCHR result) and when it reach a new value in column F, in this case "F" I need the formula to return e.g (FGGCHR). Not sure if IF formula can archived the result I'm looking for!

    Any help much appreciated.

Thank once again for the help.

Re: Populated a column by logical formula using IF

    Hi eugh

The REPT part is finding the last item in the range, ie if it cant find rept("z",255), it will return a approximate match, the last item.
