The table contains dates, name, and mark.
Similar to Vlookup, I want to select a name, and have the marks for the latest 5 dates be displayed.
Alternately would this be best completed by a formula or a macro?

In cell D4, use the array formula:
Confirm as an array with Ctrl-Shift-Enter.
