Input a value in one cell and fill the next cell with a value associated with that value

We have a range of percentages, that need to be included in a formula, ranging from 1-4 (1=40%, 2=10%, 3=7% and 4+=2%). 4+ because anything greater will be classed as 2 percent but we don't need to complicate further so just consider this as 4.

Basically, I want to type 1 into cell A1 and in B1 it should automatically fill with the 40% value (40), if I input 2 into A1 I want cell B1 to adjust to 10% (10).

    So far I have cells c1, c2 c3 and c4 containing 40, 10, 7 and 2 respectively.

What formula would I need to make this happen.

I'm totally rubbish at explaining things so I apologise for any confusion however would really appreciate "sum" help (see what i did there)!

    Thanks

    Alan

Hi Alan, and welcome to the forum. This section if for introductions only - you should post this query in the Excel General or Formulas section for an answer.

PS I "C:" what you did there - nice!

EDIT Whoops - I was certain I was in the "Introductions" section - apologies for any confusion my post may have caused. The welcome stands, nevertheless

    Hi Alan,

Apologies again for any confusion I may have caused you - you did not post in the wrong forum, I just got my wires crossed. Glad to hear you're sorted, though.

Thanks for the help with this. Just realised I got it sorted and never posted the link.

It's called the OWTET. It's a tool for working out the percentage/numbers of clicks that a website will get depending on its position on Google.

    Thanks for the help peeps!
