Red face Renumbering cells when data inserted and synchronizing across sheets

    Hello.
Im definately new to this. Great site! I wish I understood half of what was posted!
My issue, I have a list of departments/shops with prioritys. Now when and item is placed anywhere within the list it must recalculate the following numbers. Ex: If i make a new priorty 4, what was 4 becomes 5, 5 becomes 6 (etc). Each shop also has its own sheet as the list will be hundreds of items. This way they can filter and see the relevant work. These sheets must be in sync with eachother. The attached example has 10.

I really need help autonumbering the prioritys and syncing the sheets.
Anyhelp would be great. Im basically on day 1 here.

    Thanks.

Shop sheets are empty. What should appear in those sheets? Without that information, I don't see how to keep those sheets in sync with the master sheet.
In your workbbok, you mention that all cahnges made to shop's sheet must be reflected back to the master sheet. What do you mean? That a shop can change the job's priority?
    Please advise

Re: Renumbering cells when data inserted and synchronizing across sheets

    Hello Thanks for answering.
In the end eachshop does not care about what the other is doing. The only one who cares is me, so I have the master with all the jobs on, which would be hundreds. Now after the master list, the other shops will only go to their page. For example the inspection department will only look at the inspection page, and so forth. So when inspection is selected in the drop down box (column D)I would like that row to move to the inspection page. At times the inspection area may need to add a project or change the prioritys. So if they add a new column above the ones already existing (on the inspection page) as it would be more urgent, it should send that information back to the master sheet and renumber the prioritys accordingly. And when the inspection area is finished and say the project moves on to painting and paint is selected in the drop down box, that row should move to painting, letting the paint shop now of the upcoming work. So the master sees all the shops, and the subshops only see theirs.
The reason the other pages are blank at the moment is because I havent found a way to send the info in the master sheet to the correct shops.
I really hope that helps. This spreadsheet is for tracking project movement and prioritizing work.

Oy, I hope it makes sense
    Thanks

What you want is an integrated control system where the Master sheet keeps track of whatever is going on in all the other sheets and also update the sheets in the event of a priority change in the Master sheet.
    Quite a job!
In order to do so, you MUST have a unique way of designing your jobs. In your actual ITEM DESC, I can see 2 OAK TABLE and this can be a real problem when you'll have to update other sheets.

Why don't you use the automatic filter on the Master sheet directly. This way, you don't need hundreds of sheets and data is common to all shops. Simple to use and less prone to error. You would only need a macro to change a job's priority.
