Help with counting how many are within a time range, for a specific time

Hello all... I am having problems getting excel to count times properly. The funny thing is I have done this before, but for some reason I am unable to get this one to work right. I have put several hours into trying to figure it out and finally decided that I should get help.

I have attached what I am looking at and trying to work with. Basially it is a schedule and I am trying to count how many employee's I have coming in at each interval. For example, B14 is for the time durations of 0.00 - 0.29. I need B14 to count how many times the values in D56:D106 fall within B14.

Help!!!

Thanks, it looks like on your sheet that is definatley what I am getting at...

However when I move these over to my sheet, they dont work. Copied and pasted formatting and formulas for all of the sections involved in the formula but it looks like it's just counting. Also, when we look at each interval, it should show at least 1 person here for every hour of the day, is there away we can account for that as well?

Thoughts?

Look at your hours in your first column. In your original file, it was not only hours in the cells. Some cells have a date in it. Youmust be sure it is only hours in all cells otherwise the formula do not see the same thing.
Also, make sure hours entered for IN and OUT are really hours.

Ok, I see what you are saying. So then that leads us to another question. One of the reasons why the dates are in there is because of the calculations where it's counting the amount of hours for each employee. Before I put the date format in there, they wouldn't calculate right with the employees who worked from like 10pm to 4am. So in order to get that calculation to work to total their hours, I had to do the dates. What would you suggest to get the calculations to work for the total amount of hours, without having to put the dates in?

I cleared out the dates and still am not getting what I need?

See attached file. Look at new hours formula. You don't need to enter a date.
As far as I konw, it seems to be counting properly.
Let me know if something is still wrong.
