    Urgent help with conditional formatting

    O.K. here goes......

I've got a spreadsheet that I'm trying to write conditional formatting to change the row of information on the spreadsheet to a specific colour.

Problem is I want the condition to look at 2 different cells on the spreadsheet before turning the colour of the line.

I.E. 1 cell will have text in it and 1 cell will have a number in it. So if the first cell has the text "clear" in it and the second cell has the number "0" in it I want the row of the spreadsheet to change to green.

I've been trawling the internet all evening I think I might have to use array on the conditional formatting but I'm not sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks In Advance

Re: Urgent help with conditional formatting

combine the desired result [cellA&cellB ] into the next available cell and apply the conditional format to the desired cell based on the combined cell.

Try this sample work sheet. I used an 'and' formula...

@ Steve N. this should do the trick.

@ MatthewIJClark, you just need to change the formula according to your spreadsheet column name & give it a valid range.
