    Vlookup date range to return month

    I want to be able to lookup a date within a date range and return the Month. Sample spreadsheet attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    hi AW76, welcome to the forum. shouldn't D3:D4 be year 2012? if so, try:
    =INDEX(F1:F12,MATCH(1,INDEX((D1:D12<=B1)*(E1:E12>=B1),),0))
