Unhappy Excel formula that saves and graphs weekly sales results.

    Hi there,

I am new to the business world and new to excel (unfortunately sad but true). I have been asked to make a sales chart in excel for my work, that I am able to enter my daily sales amounts for the week, mon - sun, that gives a total amount, and then shows a graph on the side of the average... of all the weeks not just the one.

So for example, after inputing my daily sales results for Mon - Sun week 1, the excel worksheet would:
~ Calculate and show a total
~ Have a graph with the difference in sales results between this week and last
~ Have a graph that takes into account a weekly average, so over time this graph will show the day that makes the most sales and the day that makes the least. etc.
~ At the end of every week, I would save my sales sheet and date it for my reference (and place them in a folder with sales sheets for every week), the graph will then enable me to then update the excel sheet which will store the data, so it will then allow me to see to-date figures, and up-to-date graphed stats.

This sounds so complicated... I'm sure it is anyway.

Does anyone have an idea of how I could get this up and running?

    Will appreciate any input.

    Hi
Would it be possible for you to upload a copy of the file so we can get a clearer understanding?.. It will speed up the process and is more likely to achieve the best possible solution.
Just be mindful of the fact that you're not supposed to upload sensitive or secret information

    1. Select Edit Message or Reply
    2. Select "Go Advanced" at the bottom right of the message area
    3. Select the paper clip on the menu bar
    4. Follow the wizard instructions for uploading a file.
    Elegant Simplicity............. Not Always
