    How to total owed column.

I need to know how to populate the "daily total owed" column, I have a "payment recieved" column a "payment Required" and a "job completed" column, how can I populate "daily total owed" with the "payment Required" if "job completed" is (Y) but "payment recieved" (N)?

Re: How to total owed column.

Could you upload a sample, with a couple of examples showing what you would like ?
A picture may be worth a thousand words, BUT, a sample Workbook is worth a thousand screenshots!
-Add a File - click advanced (next to quick post), scroll to manage attachments, click, select add files, click select files, select file, click upload, when file shows up at bottom left, click done (bottom right), click submit
-To mark thread Solved- go top of thread, click Thread Tools, click Mark as Solved
If you received helpful response, please remember to hit the * of that post

So I want to know if there is a way to total the "payment owed" but only if "job Completed" is "Y" and "Payment Received" is "N"

    Does that make sense?

    Cheers

I can't work with a screenshot, especially as it contains NO information
Please upload a sample workbook (see my signature below for info on HOW to upload a sample)

Okay using your sample ( with the day that has values) I put this in cell B24:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

formatted the cell as currency, as your range sizes for each day are different, you will have to adjust each range for each day

I added some data, just to show how the formula works
(See attachment for the additions I made

    Hope this helps

Re: How to total owed column.

    It is not a problem
Sometimes Sumproduct is actually..(dare I say it?)..'better'/'easier', but you should use sumifs when the criteria are straitforward like this, sumifs is faster than sumproduct, as it is optimized for this type of work, sumproduct is for when the criteria get 'strange'..
