Cell Address of Text Value

Hi All

can someone please help me solve this problem?

I need a formula that will find a text value in a column, and return the cell address?

I keep seeing this when I search google:

But that only seems to work for numbers? is there a way of doing this for word? ie. find the word, "Oxford" in column A and reutrn the cell address

Perhaps..

="A"&MATCH("Oxford",A:A)

=ADDRESS(MATCH("oxford",A:A,0),1,4)

the above wont work? ... i need it to find "Oxford", then return the value one row down

I wouldn't call that a new problem..
I'd call it step 2 of the same problem..

Anyway..
You can't offset from a STRING value which is what the Address function returns.

Try
=INDEX(T:T,MATCH("Oxford",T:T,0)+1)

In that case you don't need to first get a cell address.

Try it like this:

=INDEX(T:T,MATCH("oxford",T:T,0)+1)
