Hello everyone
I have a long written text copied into Excel.
By converting the text into a table I found a quick way to have one word per cell.
Then, I use the LEN function to determine how many letters there are to each word (cell).
However, very often, the words are immediately followed by punctuation marks (commas, periods, colons, etc.) which the LEN function counts as well.
If I use the ğreplaceĞ option for the entire text (e.g. replace all commas with space) the LEN function will not consider this.
Example:
school, = 7 characters (including the comma)
Omitting the comma with ğreplaceĞ will still show a result of 7 characters.
The only other option i see is to manually remove all punctuation marks. Then, the cells display the correct number (e.g. "school" without comma = 6)
Any suggestions how I can remove the punctuation marks efficiently and make the LEN function reflect the altered cell content?
Thank you
