Want to list occurences that match a date

Hi. With this one I have no idea where to start or even if it is possible.

I am trying to create a spreadsheet to make reporting easier. In a seperate spreadsheet I list a series of events and the date on which they occurred. I want to include a list of the events that occurred on a certain date in my reporting sheet. Is there a formula or code that can do this. I am using Excel 2010.
