Appearance of 'calculate' on bottom task bar!

I have just copied various worksheets into a new workbook for the new tax year (UK). I have discovered that my formulas no longer automatically recalculate when I enter figures into the relevant cells. Now I have to select the cell with the function and then click the green tick in the funtion bar to initiate a recalculation. How do I convince Excel to calculate as soon as the data is entered as it has always done in the past? Clicking on the task bar by 'calculate' bring up a dialogue box with various arithmetical funtions to chose from as well as 'none', use of this box affects not the pesky little 'calculate'.The PC in question is not connected to the Net and is running fine.Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved. Thanks in anticipation. Pete White

Hi and welcome to the forum

Sounds like you have calcs set to manual. Its been a while since I used 2003, but try looking under options - you need to set calcs to AUTO. I can look later on 2003 at home if no1 else tells you where to find that setting.

F9 will calc the workbook for you too (you will have to F9 again if you enter anything)
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
