Excel 2010 - Counting Dates against Specific Entry in two Separate Columns

    Hello Guys,
I am trying to form a sales report consisting on two different sheets. I will be putting data on "Leads" whereas I want totals on "Summary". I want a count of dates appearing against each salesman in summary sheet. That will show me that how much quotations each salesman has submitted.
    - There might me same dates reappearing in C Column of leads sheet, I want to count both as an individual.
    - I want to restrict the count to date entry only rather than going for counting all Non Blank entries.

    Please help me on this...

    Regards,
    Husnain Mansoor

PLM! Thanks for the reply. Actually I have to apply the required syntax at multiple spaces and columns for counting different entries, off course by changing the ranges. The attached file is just a small chunk of whole MIS/Report. I used the following for getting to the required result, it is helping me slightly but I don't know how to insert multiple Salesmen also it is not counting the same reappearing dates.

    =IF(Leads!B2:B1048576="Abdul Basit",SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(Leads!I2:I1000,Leads!I2:I1000)>0,1)))

P.S. I am not an expert of Excel just use it occasionally

Have you checked the Pivot Table option?

PLM, thanks to you hint I am done with most of my work. Just a single hitch is still there, can you hint any lead that may enable pivot to restrict its count to the dates only. Right now pivot is counting every non blank cell that comes in the given range. Regards...
