Data Validation with Indirect function referring to Offset named range = Error.

    Hi,

It will make a lot more sense if you see the file yourself, trust me. Please see attached.

In the Fruit tab, in Row 2 and 3 is what I want my data to look like for all other rows.
My problem is that the Data Validation in Column C doesn't seem to like an Indirect function that is referring to a named range that uses an Offset.

    What I want:
Respectively, in Fruit C2, C3, my data validation refers to

However, Test_Apple/Test_Banana don't work for me because I will have over a dozen "Test_"'s. I need this to be more dynamic.

My attempted solutions that give me errors:
Respectively, in Fruit C4, C5, C6, my data validation refers to

    Please help! I'm confuzzled.

Seems to me that the problem is rather that the dynamic named ranges themselves do not work. Test the variables first by trying Goto or referencing them or something like that.

Erratic results while using the INDIRECT formula

I have a spreadsheet where one column lists the high-level activities and another lists the sub-activities under each. To make the selection of the second dependent on the selection of the first I have used INDIRECT formula in the data validation. Out of 6 items in the first list, the results are perfectly fine for 5, but it is not working for one item (viz. self development). I am absolutely clueless. Kindly help.
