IFERROR(A2/A3),"" and conditional formatting

Another quick question for everyone. I am trying to format cell A1 to be blank when data has not been entered in A2 or A3. I have to use the IFERROR function in A1 because this cell is used in an average elsewhere in the spreadsheet. Therefore, it cannot be a hidden error value or the average function will not operate properly. I have attached an example.

Any suggestions?

I am trying to format cell A1 to be blank
Conditional formatting can not make any cell as blank - but you can make the font as white to disappear the cell's content.

Thanks for the quick reply. You are correct. I am trying to make everything white, but it is showing up green.

well for a start off, you have no format set for your 2nd rule (wont change anything though)
2nd, I would change both the formula inteh cell and the formula in the CF from " " to 0, and then format text as white
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Hi picassov,

If cell value is greater than 0.9, then cell background color should turn green ... is this you want ?
If not, then try explaining in the same simple line as I explained above. thanks.
