vlookup and duplicate values in first column of table_array

    VLOOKUP(lookup_value, table_array, col_index_num, [range_lookup])

I know that If there are two or more values in the first column of table_array that match the lookup_value, the first value found is used.

Is there a way to get around this? Index? Match? Something else?

    Thanks!

These are array formulas, all kinds of stuff can be achieved. Entered with Ctrl+Shift+Enter.

    Thanks Jacc.

It is going to take me a while to digest this!

Using the Evaluate Formula button under the Formulas tab will help with digestion.
When dealing with complex formulas and large amounts of data I usually copy a few lines and set up on a new sheet and run with the Evaluate Formulas button to see how it works. Well worth the effort.
