IF formula working with a range... Problem!

I have a userform which pastes a value from a dropdown list, the dropdown list range is a list of name, next to the names on the left are the position of that person I need a formula which basically does the following...

IF A2=(their name)then(find that name in the range'names!b1:b20)&paste(the adjacent cell(to the left))(in this cell where this formula is)

I am new to advanced formulas etc so forgive me for basically writing a formula based on words.

The 'their name' reference cannot obviously contain an actual name, but maybe it could contain the range that the name would be pulled from.

    Thanks in advance,
    Dan.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include BEFORE/AFTER sheets if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

I have attached a very basic workbook with the clear output in a text box on the sheet what opens first.

    Thanks,
    Dan
