Variable Cell Address

Im pretty sure Ive done this before but for the life of me I cant remember how...

I basically need somthing that allows me to do this: C (4+variable)

Im using it in a sum function sum(M8:M + (8+(countif function)))

The countif is delivering me a number from a different column telling me how far down my table I need added.

Try

=SUM(M8:INDEX(M:M,8+COUNTIF(..)))

Or

=SUM(OFFSET(M8,0,0,COUNTIF(...),1))

Ill put somthing together, but I think it all comes down to finding a way to do a cell reference of instead of C4 more like C(4+1)

if I can do that then I can probably substitute in what I need I just dont know how to break down the cell reference so I can have that addition in it
