Lookup help

Hello gurus,

I am new on here and need a little help.
I have a workbook that contains 3 sheets. The first sheet is a "funding Data" which i import weekly.
A second sheet that also contains data.
A third **** in which i want to pull data from the first two and input in the third.

Here is where i would need help...

On the third sheet if i have a cell that has F-snk-0079-2013
How can i get excel to look at "0079" on the first sheet and display the info on the third?

HI Kayreal,

welcome to the forum.

First you need to extract "0079" using formula and then you can nest vlookup function in the same formula to fetch the desired value.
