    Is there any way to time Conditional Formatting?

    I've been trying to speed up a workbook.
    I wrote a macro that triggers a calculation in order try and find what it causing it to be slow.

    I managed to track down a cell that has no (zero) dependents, but causes the workbook to spend over 3 seconds calculating.
    The cell is used exclusively for Conditional Formatting.

    Is there any way to time CFs in order to determine which ones are taking so long to calculate?

    Posted a while ago so I suspect you have since moved on but an interesting question... you may find you could evaluate the format conditions and time results?

    The below is a basic example but you could embed an iteration of items/conditions etc...

    Though I suspect there are better approaches...

    Thanks;
    I'll have to remember this approach for the next time it happens. Took me days to discover that a column with over 20,000 rows in it had one of the CFs crash because one of it's precedents had been deleted. When I fixed the CF, the problem went away.
