I need to create a table that calculates the value of share holdings at the end of each month and then totals the share values for each corresponding period. What formulas do I use?

This is what I need to do: Create a table to calculate each share holding at the end of each month and then total the share values for each corresponding period. I am not financially inclined and I am not familiar with the financial formulas. Any help will be greatly appreciated
