    Dcount database function

    Hi Guys,

    I need help with this function:

    In cell C5 count the number of employees with Health Plan PPOI that are female.

    =DCOUNT('Employee Data'!$A$6:$M$106,"Health Plan",G5:H6)

    this is my formula but it doesn't show the number, instead it shows -
    I don't know that did I do wrong
    Please, HELP

    The criteria for the DCOUNT is not set up correctly with your current layout. I would use COUNTIFS. For example, if you reference your 'Employee' table it will be dynamic if you add more records. For the female count:

    Amend to 'M' for the male. Sorry about the *** but the site won't let me use the 'S' word signifying gender.
