Match functions fail for 3 words

Hi friends,

Strange and very interesting. The match fucntion is failing for couple of words. Have you every encountered match failing for any words or cells.

I am building a relatively complex model with formulas, at one instance 'Match' fails. YOu would notice that in cells O1, P1 and Q1 where as all other cells works perfectly fine with same formula.

I stripped down the problem in 36 cells to give you the understanding.

Anyone any clue ? I shall highly appreciate if you see something wrong here.

I'm not sure why it was not working, but when I changed your formula, it worked perfectly. I changed:
=MATCH(A2,$A$2:$R$2)
to:
=MATCH(A2,$A$2:$R$2,0)

Cool Thanks !!! It worked for me too .. have to see why its not defaulting to '0'.
