Trying to make a formula that if you enter a new result it changes the starting fomula

I am trying to make a formula that allows me to calculate gross product vs price

COST MSRP GP % DISCOUNT LEVEL 1 DL1 GP %
    $20 30 50% $25 25%

I want to set up columns where I would be able to input a discounted price and it gives me the GP % and if I enter a GP % it gives me a discounted price without having four columns.
Also I want it easy to change across a variety of products.

I know to get GP % it is: (price of sale-cost)/price of sale

to get a cost from GP % it is: cost/(1- gp%) = price of sale

I want to make it so in two columns I can enter either a percent or a dollar value in it outputs the opposite number. This way I can go back and forth between the gp% and price and figure out the other number at the same time.

I have not been able to find a specific answer to have this capability in excel.

    Mike

You can't do what you're asking for without creating circular references. Unless you add extra columns.
You're best off asking how to embed your equations into the sheet over in the Excel Programming / VBA / Macros forums.
