Measuring Volume in Real Time Formula

Good morning,

I have the following criteria and need help with a formula to gage the volume of 3 Silos:

1) Weight is 24,000 kilograms per silo.
2) Rate of depleation is 1,500 kg per hour.
3) Depleated in 16 hours per silo.

Formula for above: 24000 / 1500 = 16 hours

I need this formula to work with system clock (PC), so I can gage approximate level/volume that any given silo is currently at.

Your resply as soon as possible, is greatly appreciated.

Re: Measuring Volume in Real Time Formula

Maybe I did not describe my dilema clearly. I need assistance with a formula that will provide me with the capacity level it is currently at anytime during the day using the Operating System clock.

Is there a nested function that can be created using Now() function with maybe an IF statement.

Can someone please assist me with this.

1st, according to the rules, please wait at least 24 hours before "bumping" your thread

2nd. you probably can use the now() function for what you want, but you will need to have a starting point, and then youi need to decide what to do once the "end" is reached?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Hello
Not sure if it's what you're looking for but take a look a the attached file. Do the formulas stack up with the correct answers? You will however, have to refresh the page to update the Now() function, so it's not completely automatic.

Hope this helps.

Re: Measuring Volume in Real Time Formula

Good morning. My apologies for not waiting.

Can you please assist me with this:

Column A (Previous Days' Activity):

Silo 1: 24,000 (Note: Capacity 24,000kg; In Use Rate: 1,500 kg; takes 16 hours to deplete)
Silo 2: 16,000 Need formula that uses the previous Days' Activity and the Operating System clock to produce a rough estimate of contents of silo.
Silo 3: 24,000

Silo 2: Change-Over Occurred at 13:20 hours.

I realize I could and probably should create a PI() function (width; height; diameter, etc.) but do not have all info. I need assistance putting together a formula that look above info and let me know approximate level of any given silo.

Thanks a bunch. Deanna
