How to automatically remove the <> from an imported value

    Hi,

I have a value that is being imported to an excel sheet in a <25.2> format, it is being produced from a weigh scale through communications set-up and always uses the < > in the transmission.

These values would either be pasted into the cells or would come in automatically into cells A1:A300

I need to calculate the values of the cells without the <> effecting the results.

Is there a way that I can remove these or stop the calculation seeing them.

I also need to calculate the Accepted, Over and Under weights between a range that I set (Maximum Weight) and (Minimum Weight)

Use Find & Replace to remove those characters

That's what I am doing at the moment, but in front of the customer it looks unprofessional and takes additional time, i was looking to automate the process

This changes the value but effects the COUNTA and AVERAGEA so all the calculations are out.

Ok, I have found my problem, I was using COUNTA and have now switched to COUNT and all is well now , thanks
