Sum Up Cells Until Adjacent Cell Meets Criteria

    Hello everyone,

I have a column which contains Region Names, and in between (under its region), customer name. In another column, I have sales figures. I would like to sum up the sales until the adjacent cell is one of the region (that is, I would like to be able to add customers within regions without having to define the sum range anew).

I thought of using a count function combined with a sumif (or sumifs), but I can't wrap my head around it!

    Any ideas welcome,

    Thanks a lot,

    Corentin

    use pivot table for that.

Or sumproduct (for versions till excel 2003)

Or sumifs (for versions from excel 2007 and later).
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.
