Formula for finding a date

Hello,

I'm trying to find a formula that can find the median date when given two dates. If my two dates are 6/1/13 and 6/11/13, I want to be able to type and copy a formula that will have find the date that's in the middle of those two.

The Median Function should do just fine

=MEDIAN(A1,B1)

2 dates in A1 and B1

Format the cell with the formula as a date.

Thank you. I'm having problems formatting the cell as a date. Is that just adding the Date formula to that cell. (I'm fairly new to Excel, and my boss makes me do pointless things that I don't know how to do). Thanks for the help.
