    Sub Total tool

    Hi all,

I've been using the sub-total function a lot recently, I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to either make it start with every column ticked, or to quickly tick every column's box, rather than having to manually go through and tick each one?
Please add Rep if I've helped

    Re: Sub Total tool

    Hi,

With that minimal description it will be very difficult to answer your question - could you possibly post a sample attachment indicating precisely what it is you wish to achieve?

The sub-total button, in Office 2010 under Data in the Outline Section, to allow you to subtotal all the data based on a change in column X. It's not a formula issue so I'm not sure an attachment would actually show anything.

    Re: Sub Total tool

Ah, my apologies. Your reference to 'subtotal function' made me presume it was a question regarding the SUBTOTAL formula.

As to your question, it does seem a little inconsistent of Microsoft not to have some sort of Select All option here, especially since this is a feature of other in-built functions, e.g. Remove Duplicates.

Possibly it is achievable with VBA, but there I will have to pass, I'm afraid, and hope that someone with a bit more expertise in that area can help you!

    Regards
