    problems with if statement

    Hi,

    i am having problems with an if statement for categorizing data depending on different conditions.

    i have attached the spreadsheet with the conditions and would appreciate any help

    let me know if this doesnt make sense

    Well, you don't explain precisely where your problem lies, though I have found one inconsistency which will not give you your desired outcomes for Status=Rewritten or Sold, viz you are missing an OR clause with this part of your formula:

    ...IF(A15={"Paid Out","Rewritten","Sold"}...

    Are there any more you could tell us about (it's rather time-consuming going through lengthy IF statements! )

    I should point out as well that you'd be much better off having a table of your different Statuses somewhere and using a VLOOKUP or something similar to determine your Outcomes rather than these large and inflexible IF statements.
