Conditional format to change color of row based on data in cell

Basically, I want to put say "S" in cell T1 then I want all of row 1 to turn green but I want to do this for all the rows in my spreadsheet. I did this in a previous spreadsheet but I cannot remember how can I accomplish this?

    Thanks in advance

    try this,
select the range from A1 to T1, then go to CF New rule and use the formula to determine... condition and then use this formula: =$T2="S"
then click format select fill color (GREEN as you want) then OK, OK

highlight again the cell A1 to T1 then click format painter (located in HOME TAB), select A2 to T2 DRAG DOWN

    Hi Acerrhod,

Unless I made a mistake that just turns everything green.

if you make mistake you can clear the CF and try it again also correct the formula is must be =$T1="S"

    Acerrhod,

Thank you, I did have the formula incorrect, it appears to be working now.
