Question CountIf Multiple criteria and columns

    Hi,

I've been trying for days to sort this formula, including results of other similar posts on the forum. I just can't seem to hit the nail on the head!

I have a reservation chart like so (if the formatting works):

    A B C D

    Nolan 23/06/13 02/07/13 310
    Gordon 24/06/13 14/07/13 295
    Curley 24/06/13 30/06/13 273

    A- Name
    B- Check in
    C- Check out
    D- Room

I have formulas for counting arrivals on a day and departures on a day, but I cannot count arrivals arriving in the same room as the day it is departed.

    Any input appreciated!

    Thanks

    Darren

You get better help if you add an excel file, without confidentional information.

Please also add the desired (expected) result.
