YTD formula

Hi,
Can anyone help on creating YTD formula that populates in each new file?

Re: YTD formula

You'll have to provide less vague information to get a tailored response.

Wanting a YTD in a "new" file seems, well, ludicrous.... ...perhaps you want a "form" so all formulas are in place upon creating a new file. If that be the case, create a "blank form" and save as a template for new files.

If you want YTD populated in each new file using YTD info from a previous file, you definitely need to elaborate. YTD's from other files is not my area, so perhaps someone else can nail it without elaboration... YMMV.

Re: YTD formula

Thanks for the great tip. I hope creating a blank template would solve in anyway.

Specifically, I'm creating payroll file and would like the YTD be populated on the Payslip..

Re: YTD formula

Hi and welcome to the forum

Sorry, but your 2nd explanation is hardly any better than your 1st 1.

Please explain (in detail) what you have, what you want, and how you want it.
I would suggest you upload a sample work book, (all sensitive data removed), showing what data you are working with, a few examples of what your expected outcome is, and how you arrived at that
To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
