    Using MAX against specific times

    Hi All,

I need some help with a MAX formula.

On the attached sheet I need to work out the maximum figures between G2:J33 but against the times stated in N6:P6 and show the answers in N7:P7.

For example the number N7 should come back as 2 as that is the max needed between 06:00 and 14:00.

I can work out a Max by day but I'm struggling to work it out by shift.

    Any suggestions?

Put this array* formula in N7:

    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

this can be copied into O7 and P7, but for P7 you need to change it slightly to this:

    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

Then you can copy them down.

*An array formula needs to be committed using the key combination of Ctrl-Shift-Enter (CSE) instead of the usual <Enter>.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete
