    Stumped on Lookup

    Hey Gang,

I see the end result and have an idea how I want to get there but there are variables testing me above my pay grade.
    I am working in 2007
In Book 1, I have 30 Drivers/Tabs each Driver/Tab is broken into 6 sections which has several rows where we input their Jobs which determines their payroll.
Also in each section we have cells earmarked for the Truck Number, Gallon Cost, Total Fuel, Total Fuel Cost

Once we have input this info for each driver we then have to have to take the stack of gas receipts open Book 2 and input all that info again the data sort the receipts by truck number and input each one under the specific truck number.

Here is the catch I have 5 trucks that we don't want that information. Those 5 trucks never change, however the one that we do need to input this for can change due to rentals.
    (this is double work)
End result is I want to create a mileage tab in Book 1 and as we key in the truck#, Gallons, etc the mileage tab would
1st determine if the truck number is one of the ones we ignore or not.
2nd if it is one of the trucks we need that info it would carry the respective info over to the correct cell.

I have enclosed 2 png's to provide some type of visual

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Re: Stumped on Lookup

post a real workbook for the members to work with avoid pictures.

Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include BEFORE/AFTER sheets if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Remember to desensitize the data.

    Re: Stumped on Lookup

    Ive enclosed a sample workbook.
In a perfect world the same driver, drives the same truck all the time and if it was perfect the mileage tab would collect the information as it is typed in on the Driver tab.
However, each driver could drive a different truck each time and I need some sort of IF formula that first reads the Truck# cell ie. 'Driver A'!$J12 and if it were "2105" it would put it under truck 2105,2101 under 2101 and so on.
