    If formula with warning

    Hello,

    i have a cell, A 1 which is a dropdown with the values from D1 to D5
    i have a second cell, B 1 which is a dropdown with the values from D1 to D5, too

    I want a formula for:
    - to alert the user when he choose a value (number) from B1 that is smaller then what he choose on A1 (number)

    If need i can upload the the excel document

    Suggest you to change your title to something that describe your problem.

    If you don't want to use VBA, you have 2 options.

    1) In C1 put this formula

    =If(a1=b1;""ALERT";"")

    2)In Conditional Formatting rules of B1 put this

    =A1=B1 >>choose a color>>ok.

    I think for that you have to use another dedicated call for warning.

    As you are not so often here last time, it's something that do many many others and NEVER no ADMIN, no MOD told them even 1 word for this.... Did't you ever noticed this?

    So i just did the same that many others did(do) without anyone being bothered.

    Rules must be the same for everyone. Not different just for me
