assigning points to special amounts

hi,
i have a problem.
i need to give points to libraries members and every 50 members gets 1 point for the library. for example the library with 100 members gets 2 points, etc. i want to make it automatic.
how can i do this in excel 2010?
if i save the project as excel 97-2003, will i lose it?

Here's what I'd do from what I understood: Let's say the number of member of library one is in A1 assuming you only give full points use =INT(A1/50) to get the amount of points if there are many libraries and the number of members are in A2, A3, A4 you can just autofill this down. In the future try to make your questions more clear and more general so that someone else can learn from the answers as well.
