Say Cell A1 = 5. A2 = 6. A3 = 7
B1 points to A1
C1 = 5 + B1
C1 = 10 because B1 points back to A1
Now B1 = A2
C1 = 5 + B1
C1 = 11 because B1 now points to cell A2
Is it possible to make this happen?

in cell B1, type =Indirect(E1)
In Cell E1 type the cell that you want B1 to reference, ie. A1. If you want it to be A2 then type A2 in E1, etc.
