    A*b

    i want C1 to show the total value of A1 to A1000*B1 to 1000 without typing =A1*B1+A2*B2+A3*B3 and so on. is there a funkion that does that?

    Try using the sumproduct function

    =SUMPRODUCT(A1:A1000,B1:B1000)
