Getting unique fields when indexing

I'm trying to make a "top five" for a list containing percentages and then indexing corresponding ID's to the percentage. The problem I have is when I have a duplicate percentage in the top 5, the index yields the same ID. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Thanks,
Scott

It would help if you attached a copy of your spreadsheet for analysis

Re: Getting unique fields when indexing

you can use a helper column and add a countif() formula to add to the value you are ranking. something like...

=countif($A$2:A2,A2)/1000+A2

You can then use that to extract the data you want

If you still have a problem, follow alan's suggestion
To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
