How do I make a cell in a work sheet turn green if the same sell on sheet two has an X

Excel 2016

Good evening. I am trying to build a work book that I can have a series of work sheets that I can track keywords on social media. i want to have one sheet (Sheet 1) that has all my key words down the left column and dates of posts across the top. I will check off the keywords used on a given day with an X. On subsequent pages I will have the same format how ever the matching cells from sheet one will cause the same cell on "sheet 2" to turn green if there is an x.

Thanks in advance

You can use Conditional Formatting for this...
If you are familiar with CF, ignore the 1st 2 points
1. highlight the range you want to apply the conditional formatting to
2. on the home tab, styles, select CF
3. select new rule, select use formula
4. enter a reference to the sheet and cell you want to compare, something like...
='Garage Cost'!E5="x"

Format fill as needed.

If you find you are having problems doing this, upload a small sample WB for me to demo on
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
