so would that be based on total days, ie Application 1 start 1/14/2013 end 2/22/2013 is 17 days in jan and 22 days in feb so 39 days total which would be 17/39 of the 10000 attributed to Jan and 22/39 attributed to feb?
yes for this example exactly, but the date ranges could change so I need a formula that can calculate how many days in each month based on the dates entered - then distribute the revenue evenly per day in the appropriate month. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!!
But also, it could work using days360 if it's easier that way - assuming every month has 30 days would be fine. thank you for your help with it
I've come up with some basic formulas which could work if my date range only spanned over 2 months - it does not work if it spans over 3 or more months. I can build some work arounds with my knowledge...but there's got to be a better way!!
Are you able to suggest a better way? See attached - Thank you!
